As an Estimator, you will play a key role in shaping the success of our projects. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, developing pricing strategies, and ensuring that every project stays on budget and meets client expectations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, sales, and operations teams to drive results and maintain a high standard of work.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and project plans to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
• Develop and refine pricing systems, identify cost-effective solutions, and keep the company competitive while ensuring that we remain profitable.
• Oversee material orders and ensure that budgets are adhered to. This includes working with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and managing any cost adjustments that may arise during the project's lifecycle.
• Assist in creating and maintaining schedules for ongoing projects, making sure that all timelines are met, and that projects progress smoothly, from the initial phase to completion. This involves proactively addressing any potential delays and ensuring that clients' expectations are managed effectively.
• Maintain regular communication with both clients and internal team members, ensuring that all parties are kept up-to-date on project developments, any adjustments in scope or budget, and any other critical information that may affect the project.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly in residential remodeling.
• Strong proficiency in reading blueprints is a must, as well as excellent mathematical skills to calculate accurate costs and identify any discrepancies in estimates.
• Familiarity with various estimating software tools to streamline and enhance your workflow.
• Attention to detail is essential, ensuring that no cost is overlooked.
• Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and prevent overages.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with project managers, clients, and suppliers. 
• The ability to articulate project expectations, timelines, and budget changes clearly is essential in maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
• Familiarity with JobTread or similar project management and estimating platforms is a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

• Full time position
• Competitive salary at $65,000 to $85,000, based on experience.
